Job Description
Serve as a non-clinical support specialist providing frontline customer service, appointment coordination, and care navigation within an office-based behavioral health setting. This entry-level position is the primary point of contact for potential and current clients, families, hospital partners, and community organizations, managing incoming scheduling requests, multitasking competing priorities, and supporting internal clinic staff with essential administrative tas
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Appointment Scheduling & Navigation: Speak directly with clients, families, hospital staff, and community partners to schedule, confirm, and maintain clinic appointments.
- Administrative & Staff Support: Answer multi-line phone systems, manage email communications, enter data, and assist clinical staff with daily office administrative needs.
- Customer Service & Coordination: Deliver empathetic, professional communication in a fast-paced environment; collaborate seamlessly with internal healthcare teams and external community organizations.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience required; basic office skills (answering phones, email etiquette, administrative support) required.
- Core Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and maintain professional empathy under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish speaking) is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus.
