Job Description
Deliver comprehensive psychiatric care and mental health services to individuals across the lifespan within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model. Core responsibilities include performing psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, providing medication management, offering therapeutic interventions, and collaborating within an integrated care team to promote whole-person wellness.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluations & Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments; formulate and execute individualized treatment plans integrating pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy.
- Clinical Care & Monitoring: Manage psychiatric medications, deliver individual/group therapy, monitor client progress, and adjust treatment protocols as clinically indicated.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and care coordinators to deliver holistic, team-based care; lead patient and family education on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely medical records in full compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards; participate in case consultations and continuing education.
Requirements:
- Education & Credentials: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a PMHNP specialization; ANCC National Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Licensure: Active and valid state license to practice as an APRN / PMHNP.
- Experience & Skills: Prior experience in outpatient or community behavioral health preferred (open to qualified new graduates); strong expertise in psychopharmacology and therapeutic modalities; excellent interpersonal, organization, and collaborative skills.
