If you want to make an impact on the lives of many, join us in our mission to break patients free of addiction and rebuild hope.

  • Patient Intake & Care: Be the first friendly face patients see; register new and returning patients while verifying demographic, insurance, and identification information; explain benefits, financial responsibilities, and payment expectations with empathy.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect patient payments (copays, deductibles, coinsurance) and accurately process daily financial transactions; process third-party reimbursements, including Medicaid.
  • Administrative Support: Answer incoming phone calls promptly; prepare weekly reports and monthly statements; maintain accurate financial records to ensure clinic fund security; and assist with census reporting and caseload tracking.
  • Office Operations: Support daily operations through filing, scanning, copying, and data entry; maintain office supplies and coordinate orders; and perform work-related errands like mail delivery and bank deposits.
  • Compliance & Privacy: Build positive, professional relationships with patients while protecting their privacy and supporting compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

What BHG Can Offer You:

  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible and predictable schedules with early in/early out hours. No nights, no Sundays, generous paid time off, and holidays off.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus life insurance, disability protection, and a competitive discretionary 401(k) match.
  • Recognition and Rewards: Competitive compensation, quarterly bonus potential, and incentives for certifications or licenses.
  • Employee Perks: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), self-care and wellness services, and exclusive discounts.
  • Grow With Us: Role-based training programs, clinical supervision hours, certification support, tuition reimbursement, and career advancement pathways.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience as a general office clerk with basic math, accounting skills, and cash handling experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in front desk, admissions, billing, and/or collections.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare.
  • Knowledge and use of typical office equipment (calculator, fax machine, copier, scanner, etc.) and computer programs.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Accurate data entry, basic keyboarding skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and enforce fee collection policies.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced clinical environment with periods of increased activity.
  • Exposure to patients with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, infectious diseases, and criminal justice involvement.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and stooping (alternating between sitting and standing).
  • Frequent keyboarding and computer use.
  • Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (use of appropriate PPE when required).
