Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Therapy & IDBT Implementation: Deliver evidence-based individual therapy, co-facilitate skills training groups, provide time-limited phone coaching, and participate in weekly DBT consultation team meetings.
  • Intakes & Risk Assessment: Conduct intake evaluations, preliminary diagnoses, risk assessments, and crisis stabilization; create safety plans and coordinate higher-level-of-care admissions when necessary.
  • Care Coordination & Outreach: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, family members, and community partners; provide client services in office, virtual, or home/community environments.
  • Documentation & Supervision: Maintain timely EHR clinical records and intake forms; attend clinical supervision and team meetings; meet agency productivity guidelines; may supervise clinical interns as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Credentials: Must apply for a Counselor Agency Affiliated – Registered credential with the Washington State Department of Health within 30 days of hire (unrestricted clinical licensure like LMHCA, LMFTA, LICSWA, L-AAC highly valued for intake authority).
  • Licensing & Travel: Valid, unrestricted driver’s license, active auto insurance, and willingness to use a personal vehicle for regular local travel between sites and community visits.
  • Physical & Environmental Demands: Ability to navigate stairs, drive, traverse outdoor environments, carry mobile office equipment (laptop), and occasionally lift 10–20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of clinical experience delivering behavioral health treatment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Washington Administrative Codes (WACs), and community-based intervention models for youth and families.
