Job Description

Serve as a vital member of a residential treatment team supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses on their path to recovery. Core responsibilities include supervising residents during daily activities and medication times, facilitating meal preparation under nutrition guidelines, maintaining facility safety, transporting clients, and completing daily documentation.

Shift & Operational Details:

  • Shift Responsibilities: Fulfills daily task assignments across designated shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
  • Emergency Expectations: Must be available to remain on-site around the clock during facility emergencies or disasters until relief staff arrive.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Support & Supervision: Supervise residents during daily activities, program tasks, and medication times; assist in establishing personal recovery goals; transport clients as needed.
  • Facility & Meal Operations: Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness and operations; ensure resident meals are prepared according to nutritionist menus, Joint Commission food safety standards, and ServSafe guidelines.
  • Documentation & Safety: Complete required daily/monthly logs, progress notes, and Critical Incident Reports; maintain compliance with OSHA rules, universal precautions, and life safety equipment.

Requirements:

  • Education & Clearances: High School Diploma or GED required; must pass a Florida DCF Level 2 background clearance.
  • Age & Licensing: Must be at least 25 years of age with a valid Florida driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation.
  • Certifications: Must successfully complete CPR, First Aid, and ACT (Aggression Control Training) upon hire.
  • Technology: Must have reliable communication (home or cell phone) and be willing to install Microsoft Authenticator on a personal mobile device for secure payroll and system access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with severe mental illness preferred (not required).
