Job Description
Lead and oversee clinical operations for a dedicated not-for-profit chemical dependency treatment agency. The Clinical Director is responsible for directing clinical staff supervision, managing administrative operations, maintaining full regulatory compliance with New York State OASAS Part 822 regulations, and fostering high-quality care for individuals recovering from substance use and mental health disorders.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Supervision & Leadership: Provide clinical supervision, administrative oversight, and performance management for counseling and clinical staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to NYS OASAS Part 822 outpatient clinic regulations, licensing standards, and program guidelines.
- Program Administration: Direct daily clinical operations, oversee patient intake and treatment planning protocols, and ensure evidence-based care standards across all chemical dependency programs.
Requirements:
- Education & Licensure: Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field required; active New York State professional license (LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC) required.
- Clinical Leadership Experience: Minimum 6 years of clinical management and supervisory experience within the substance use / addiction field.
- Field Expertise: Advanced working knowledge of the disease model of addiction and alcoholism, paired with a solid career history dedicated to behavioral health and addiction treatment.
- Core Competencies: Proactive, self-starting leader with strong administrative abilities, deep regulatory knowledge, and exceptional supervisory skills (prior experience as an addictions counselor is highly beneficial).
