Job Description
Provide executive clinical leadership, strategic oversight, and operational direction across all behavioral health services. The Chief Clinical Officer oversees clinical policy development, fosters continuous quality improvement, leads clinical staff recruitment and retention, manages the clinical budget, and ensures all agency programs deliver high-quality, compliant, and person-served-centered care.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Leadership & Strategy: Direct clinical operations to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery; represent the clinical division in executive board meetings and contribute to agency-wide strategic planning.
- Policy, Compliance & Data Analytics: Guide the development and implementation of clinical policies and best practices; analyze performance data and client outcomes to identify trends, ensure regulatory compliance, and execute corrective action plans.
- Staff Leadership & Development: Oversee recruitment, credentialing, clinical supervision, and professional development for clinical staff to foster high performance and professionalism.
- Operational Integration & Budgeting: Collaborate across administrative departments to integrate clinical services with agency operations; develop and manage the clinical division’s budget to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Requirements:
- Education & Licensure: Master’s Degree in a healthcare-relevant field required; active Florida professional licensure in Social Work (LCSW), Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), or Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) required.
- Clinical Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive management/leadership experience in a clinical setting required (10+ years of senior executive experience strongly preferred).
- Key Skills: In-depth expertise in behavioral health regulations and accreditation standards; advanced clinical data analysis and financial/budget management capabilities; exceptional leadership, crisis management, and stakeholder communication skills.
