Job Description
Deliver comprehensive behavioral health services across school-based and outpatient clinical settings within Nassau County. This full-time role provides in-school individual counseling within local secondary schools or the agency's alternative high school diploma program, alongside in-clinic individual, group, and family psychotherapy for a diverse population of all ages.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- School-Based Services: Provide direct individual counseling and behavioral support to students in local secondary schools or an alternative high school diploma environment.
- Clinical Psychotherapy: Facilitate individual, family, and group psychotherapy in an outpatient clinic setting to help clients build self-awareness, improve coping mechanisms, and process emotional distress.
- Caseload Management: Maintain accurate clinical charts and treatment plans; collaborate with school administrators, families, and multidisciplinary treatment teams.
Requirements:
- Education & Credentials: Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or limited permit holders eligible).
- Schedule Flexibility: Evening hours are required for all clinical positions.
- Core Skills: Demonstrated ability to engage youth, adults, and families in a supportive, trauma-informed manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
