Job Description

The MARR Women’s Program is a long-term treatment program dedicated to supporting women struggling with the disease of addiction. We are currently hiring Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN Behavioral Health Techs to join our multidisciplinary team. The Behavioral Health Tech plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care, maintaining client safety and well-being, and supporting women on their journey to recovery using evidence-based practices.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safety & Milieu Supervision: Conducts continuous rounds of facility grounds and rooms to ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment; manages safety inspections, contraband checks, and documentation.
  • Client Care & Support: Observes, monitors, and records resident behavior and progress in Electronic Medical Records (EMR); assists clients with daily living skills, scheduling appointments, and participating in program activities.
  • Medication Observation: Observes and supervises clients’ self-administration of medications at designated intervals, maintaining precise records within the EMR.
  • Transportation & Admissions: Drives clients to 12-Step recovery meetings (e.g., AA/NA) and scheduled appointments; assists with client intake, post-admission support, and orientation.
  • Belongings & Operations Management: Tracks and manages client personal belongings, financial cards, and funds; documents facility maintenance needs and conducts regular housekeeping inspections.
  • Team Collaboration & Communication: Acts as a vital liaison between clients and clinical staff, relaying critical updates, advocating for client needs, and contributing to treatment team decisions.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education & Age: High school diploma or GED required; must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Licensing & Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Experience & Knowledge: Experience working with individuals in substance use disorder recovery or relevant behavioral health training preferred.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong observational, interpersonal, and de-escalation skills.
    • Proficiency in basic clinical documentation and EMR systems.
    • Collaborative mindset with a compassionate, supportive, and flexible approach to patient care.
