Job Description
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges. Core responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, formulating individualized care plans, providing medication management, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated, holistic care.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessments & Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medical histories, and physical assessments; build individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families.
- Medication Management & Education: Prescribe psychiatric medications, monitor therapeutic responses, make clinical adjustments as necessary, and educate patients/families on diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and care teams to ensure coordinated care; participate in case conferences, clinical team meetings, and professional development.
- Documentation & Patient Advocacy: Maintain prompt, accurate EMR records conforming to regulatory and organizational standards; advocate for patient rights and facilitate community resource linkages.
Requirements:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure & Credentials: Active State License as a Nurse Practitioner; current APRN certification (PMHNP certification preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, including proficiency in psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
- Technical & Clinical Skills: Advanced diagnostic and clinical assessment abilities; strong interpersonal communication; proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
